Selection Procedure

Application Please complete the registration form and upload your CV and photograph or send it by regular mail along with your CV and photograph to l’arte del mondo. (Materials received by surface mail will not be returned.) Deadline for the 2008–2009 season: Friday, May 16, 2008.

Auditions After the deadline, selected applicants will immediately be informed of the three available audition dates (an application with recordings is possible in exceptional cases):

21. Mai 2008, in Leverkusen, Germany, at the Forum
24. Mai 2008, in Dortmund, Germany, at the university
25. Mai 2008, in Detmold, Germany, at the Detmold College of Music (Hochschule für Musik Detmold)


Audition Repertoire

• Audition invitations to string and woodwind players will contain a copy of a trio sonata movement to be learned. A solo piece of the player’s own choice should also be prepared.
• Audition invitations to brass-wind players will contain a copy of two desired orchestral passages to be learned. A solo piece of the player’s own choice should also be prepared.
• Tuning standard: 415 Hertz for strings and winds.
• A coach will be supplied by l’arte del mondo.
