Target Groups and Requirements

A_The accademia l’arte del mondo is intended for advanced instrumental students and professional musicians.

B_Applicants for the scholarships must be
- a permanent resident of the state (Land) of
  North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany; or
- a native of North Rhine-Westphalia; or
- a current or past student of a college of music in
  North Rhine-Westphalia; or
- a graduate of a college of music in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Musicians from other states of Germany and from abroad may apply for the places set aside for additional participants.

C_All applicants must play an audition after the timely filing of their applications (see Selection Procedure).

D_Period instruments are used at the accademia l’arte del mondo.

E_Experience with old instruments and historical performance practice is not imperative, depending on the instrument.
